Grace Ridge is the eighth apartment community in which The Bennett Group has partnered with the Alabama Council on Human Relations over the years (ACHR), and is one of seven such developments designed for families. This colorful community features a large clubhouse that receives nearly 50% of its electrical energy from roof-mounted solar panels. It includes a 24-hour fitness center, TV den, computer center, kitchen and a large gathering/party area.

The three- and four-bedroom apartments all have two full bathrooms, 9’ ceilings, open kitchens with granite countertops, and balconies or patios with quite wooded or creek views. It is close to shopping, schools, jobs and has easy access to US 280 and the University/Shug Jordan “loop” around Auburn.

This project utilized low-income housing tax credits and HOME loan funds provided by the Alabama Housing Finance Authority. Equity was provided by Enterprise Community Investments. Permanent financing is being provided by the Alabama Multifamily Loan Consortium.

“I love my apartment, it feels like home. I have three bedrooms so everyone has their own room. It’s quiet and very family oriented. The children are well behaved and I have nice neighbors. I love the fact that we have a gym and plan to use it more. And there’s a playground for my grand-babies.”
