| Though
we began by looking for a good location for our new
corporate offices, we ended up developing a 100-acre
mixed use Commerce/Residential Park, offering a commercial
and retail area, a professional office area, and a
residential community. The concept was to provide
a very desirable way to work and live close to shopping,
services, schools and Auburn University.
Known as Central Park, this development
has become the premier office location in the Auburn/Opelika
metro area. It lies on Auburn’s main perimeter
road, with leads directly to I-85, and is just minutes
from downtown Auburn, the Colonial University Village
Mall and Auburn University. Special care was taken
to preserve the natural features of the site, including
a lake centered among the professional offices.
Architectural design standards were developed for
all phases of the park, along with unique signage
and lighting standards
The professional office area is
home to a variety of medical and professional offices.
The commercial/retail area includes Craftmaster
printers, Sylvan Learning Center, Auburn Veterinary
Hospital, and other businesses requiring a retail
front and some warehouse or light manufacturing
space in the rear. The residential area, known as
The Residences of Central Park, provides 100 up-scale
condominium and rental units, all under common professional
management.
This is a thriving area providing
a convenient location to work and live close to
the heart of these two communities. Joggers--and
jogging mothers with babies in high-tech strollers--are
seen each day making their way through Central Park.
